As a parish family and a community of faith, Good Sam commits to be present and care for one another in times of celebration and of challenge. This is one of our greatest strengths—to reach out in love and walk with one another on the occasions of birth or death, marriage or divorce, illness or injury, achievement or set-back. We recognize the presence of our loving God in our midst and share that love in community.
Good Sam Shepherds
The parish family is divided into three alphabetical groups (A-F; G-O; P-Z), and each group has two lay coordinators called Shepherds. Two additional Shepherds minister to parishioners whose needs are on-going (those who are homebound, etc.).
Relationship is central to Good Sam Shepherds. Along with the clergy, the Shepherds serve as an initial and ongoing contact for individuals or families in the midst of challenge or celebration.
Our other pastoral care ministries include:
- Altar Flower Delivery
- Bereavement Committee
- Card Ministry
- Eucharistic Visitors
