We will examine the life and teachings of Merton, aka Father Louis. Specific themes to be addressed will include prayer, the true self, nature, poetry and art, peace, and the church and the world. The focus will be upon what we can take from Merton’s life and writings to strengthen our own discipleship. Resources for further private study will be shared at the end of Week 7.
