Formation for All Begins on Sunay, September 8!

Henslee Hall Class

We will kick off the Henslee Hall Adult Formation on September 8 with an 8-week offering entitled “The Heart Of Health is Love.” You are invited to join us in cultivating the space to Breathe, Listen, Ask, Look, and Touch Life and remember who you are and how you are naturally designed to be a healthy, whole, holy human being. Together, we will explore the meaning of health and how it is determined by our relationship with God, Creation, and Creatures (human and nonhuman). The good news is that health is not an individual result but a spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and relational connection, perfectly nourished in a Living Loving Community. ‘The Heart of Health is Love‘ is an eight-week series led by DeeAnn and Jason Dean. This is going to be a wonderful offering – you won’t want to miss it. If you are interested in joining us for this class, please sign up on August 18 during the ministry fair just so we can get an idea of numbers. But, if you don’t get a chance to sign up, don’t worry…feel free to join us!

Note: Information about formation plans following this 8-week course will be announced at a later time. For most of Sunday adult formation classes there is no need to sign up in advance.

The Lectionary Adult Formation Class

The Bible is a living document, kept alive by our understanding and putting into practice its teachings. The lectionary class takes a closer look through insightful discussion of that Sunday’s lectionary readings. In a completely discussion format, discover what the readings meant to their original readers and what they mean to us today. This class is lay-led and meets in the church library from 9:30 – 10:15 am each Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join in at any time.

Coffee & Conversation – A Class for Parents

This self-led group is open to parents and guardians of children or youth, who would like to gather to discuss faith, life and parenting while walking alongside others who are on similar journeys. This group will gather in the Youth Suite during formation hour, for coffee, conversation prompts, and fellowship! Contact Sinead Love if you have questions about this class. No need to sign-up; just show up at 9:30 am on Sundays!
